Dangerous Moat Near Hogsback Ridge on Mt Baker's North Side

Looking up drainage at 5,200 ft moat in left center of frame.

Climbers ascending Hogsback Ridge rather
than travelling near moat.

Moat in lower right of frame as
seen from Hogsback Ridge.

Snowfield on right leads to dangerous moat as
seen from the top of Hogsback Ridge. Please do not
use this drainage to descend.

The moat in the center of this frame can be
hard to see from above.

This moat is hard to spot until you are directly above it.

Wands have been placed to warn
 against using this drainage.

Ranger finishes placing wands above moat.

Close up of the moat.
